About the role
We are bringing in a QA Automation Engineer on a 12-month contract to build the automated test coverage our release process needs. You will design the framework, write the suites, and wire it all into CI.
There is a strong possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role for the right person.
What you will do
- Design and build an end-to-end automation framework from the ground up
- Write reliable UI and API test suites for critical user journeys
- Integrate the suite into CI so every pull request gets meaningful feedback
- Triage failures and keep flakiness under control
- Define the regression strategy for each release
- Document the framework so the team can extend it after the contract
What we are looking for
- 3+ years in test automation for web applications
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress
- Comfortable writing JavaScript or TypeScript independently
- Experience testing REST APIs and working with test data
- Familiarity with CI systems such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Available to start within four weeks
